What is Authentic Flow?

Authentic Flow is built on intuition, embodiment and exploration.

Authentic flow is a somatic approach to movement through which we listen, taste, see, feel, inquire and learn to embody our bodies as a living, feeling and exploring creative process of becoming.

This is an ongoing conversation between the inner and the outer, your body and it’s interconnectedness to the environment, between every part of your bodyheartmind, and as a whole. It seeks to clarify tools and pathways for sensing and recognizing Truth, ‘Here-ness’, safety & home, as well as rapture.

The goal is where you are. It is a direct sensory experience of the Now/You, rising as You/Now.

What is Shake The Dust?

“Don’t get stuck where it feels good”

// LET GO OF WHAT YOU MAY BE HINDERED BY

THIS IS A TRANSFORMATIVE AND EMBODIED PRACTICE OF THE BODYHEARTMIND.

THROUGH GUIDED POETIC UNIVERSE WITH A THEME RELATED TO EACH PRACTICE WE JOURNEY BETWEEN PERPETUAL MOVEMENT, REST, RELEASE AND FREE MOVEMENT.

WITH SHAKING, JUMPING, DANCING, INTUITIVE MOMENT (SOME YOGA SOMETIMES TOO), PILATES, SOMATICS AND BODY WEIGHT TRAINING, NOT TO MENTION A KICK ASS CAREFULLY CURATED PLAYLIST, THIS CLASS IS DESIGNED FOR ANYONE BUT ESPECIALLY YOGIS AND WILL AT BEST DELIVER A CATHARTIC RELEASE, A GREAT WORKOUT, SWEAT AND A STRONG, RESILIENT BODY.

What is Somatic Asana?

These asana-based practices are taught in a way that we are removing self-images and focusing on the sensations we feel in our bodies, and connecting to the flow of energy in each asana. Alignment is used as a pathway to awareness, rather than a rigid structure to be conformed to arbitrarily. Natural alignment is encouraged where you experiment and find the alignment that moves energy through your body most effectively. There is no “right” way of doing an asana, except the way you are doing it right now, perfectly and with intentional awareness.

We often think of alignment as being there to keep us safe. Through these practices we find a safety that comes from trusting your own innate wisdom.

How do virtual classes work?

After you sign up, a zoom link will be sent to you prior to the class starting. You will need to use zoom on your laptop, tablet or phone. Laptop is recommended for the highest quality experience.

What equipment will I need?

You will need a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. In addition, a Spotify account will be required for the music classes. A paid Spotify account will ensure you don’t hear commercials during this music, but a free Spotify account will work, too.

For the best experience with the music classes, you should have a dedicated speaker set up to play music from your paid Spotify account. This can be done from your laptop, tablet or smartphone and it does not need to be done from the same device on which you are streaming the class. If you use a free Spotify account you will hear commercials at about the rate of 1 minute of commercials every 20 minutes, so 3 times in a one hour class. This can set your playlist out of sync significantly. If you do not want to purchase a paid Spotify account right now, you can do the classes without music and go more deeply into the silence and that can also be very powerful. Music is not required.

Will classes be recorded and accessible later?

Yes!

What technology is required?

Laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Do I need a paid Spotify account?

Short answer: Yes, if you want to listen to the playlists I’ve curated for many classes. The classes also work well with silence, or you can play any music that you like. It’s better not to use Spotify if you are using the free version because they will play at least 3 commercials over the course of a class, and this will make the songs be out-of-sync with the class.

If you don’t have a Spotify account and don’t plan on getting one, I recommend doing the classes in silence which can be equally as powerful. If you reeaaally enjoy music, then just put on your own music. It may be off-vibe for what I’m teaching at times, but this isn’t really a big deal.
